Accessibility statement

Our aim

AiWhizzkids aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we do

• We measure the contrast of every text color against its background. Body text is at least 4.5:1.
• The site works with a keyboard, shows a visible focus outline, and has a skip link to the main content.
• Pages are built from real headings, lists, links and landmarks, and the words are in the page itself, so they work without JavaScript.
• Images have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
• If your device asks for reduced motion, the site’s animations are switched off.
• Tap targets are at least 44 pixels, and pages work at widths down to 320 pixels.

Known limits

• The Learner Permit and the story keepsake are made as images inside a PDF, so a screen reader can’t read the text in them. The story is also on the page, but the permit’s rules are only in the PDF for now.
• The free printable PDFs may not be fully accessible to screen readers.
• The Bedtime Story Machine shows a moving scene behind the form. It stops if your device asks for reduced motion.
